The webinar, “Advances in the Management of Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy,” will provide healthcare professionals with an update on current approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, and management of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. The session will explore recent advances in clinical care, evidence-based treatment strategies, and approaches to reducing maternal and neonatal complications associated with hypertension in pregnancy.

Objectives

1. Describe the different types of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and their associated maternal and fetal risks. 2. Identify current evidence-based approaches for early detection, assessment, and monitoring of hypertension in pregnancy. 3. Discuss advances in the pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. 4. Apply appropriate strategies for managing severe hypertension and preventing complications, including pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. 5. Recognise the importance of multidisciplinary care and timely referral in improving maternal and neonatal outcomes.
