Description
The training presentation titled"Undescended Testis (UDT) / Cryptorchidism" focused on the definition, epidemiology, embryology, diagnosis, management, and follow-up of undescended testes in pediatric patients. The session reviewed the normal process of testicular descent, causes and risk factors for UDT, classification of different forms of undescended testes, and the clinical significance of the condition, particularly its impact on fertility and malignancy risk.
Objectives
To equip healthcare providers with current evidence-based knowledge and practical skills for the timely diagnosis, referral, treatment, and long-term management of children with undescended testes, thereby improving fertility outcomes and reducing future complications.
